About Us
Stitch in Time theatre was originally established in 2009 by Robyn Hoedemaker whilst studying at Cambridge University. With the company Robyn produced and directed one play (Edward Albee's 'Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?'), and after a 6 year gap, during which Robyn embarked upon a professional acting career, the company has been revived.
Stitch in Time's rebirth sees also a brand new outlook on the type of work we want to produce. Art in its best form should incite a response – be it of joy and appreciation, of philosophical consideration, even of disgust – and that response should, in our eyes, be active. This is not a respectful performance of a well-worn Shakespeare, this is theatre on the edge. Come and let us move you into the unexpected…
